Fatboy the bearded dragon ran away. He was in a homemade cage on the lawn, and he pushed himself under and escaped. I had taken some pictures while he was out there. So here's one.

It's Heather -- forgot my password!!
Oh noes! God I hope you find him ... he's GOT to be expensive (I haz chillens so I haz had lizzerds) probably not much hope of that, though, and aren't they considered an invasive species where you are once they escape? Very nice perspective on the photo. I like how each individual (would they be called "scales") bump is neatly emphasized so it doesn't look as "smooth and slimy" as people would typically portray "lizards".
yeah, so a development of that front: neighbors saw two hawks hanging around the base of their willow tree the other day. Wonder they could have been hunting?
And Beardies are definitely not smooth. But their scales don't hurt either.
so anyway, got a replacement, he's tiny!! I forgot Fatboy was once that little!
That's great, I'm glad you replaced your big guy. I forgot to add that I was sentimental about Roy's anoles, even though they were just little zippy lizzerds. Let's not even discuss the iguana mishap (shudder). Later, much later.
Becca kept a fire-bellied tree toad until just recently, when Ms. Greenjeans passed from age-related causes. Believe me, that was traumatic. When you have a momma who's allergic to furry things, you don't get the pleasure of owning house kitties, and outside doggies only, thus you fall in love with, and hand feed, your toadies.
I have recently moved out to Maryland from the great state of Washington. I met my husband during graduate school, and we came out here after that. We have three kitties, three lizards, and some fish. Hubby and I are both chemists, although he is doing more administrative things now. I am still working in the lab, doing analytical type things.
