These have been played with some in Aperture, the sky turned out no where that bright in any of the pictures.

Trees are blurry and funny looking because with the long exposure there were multiple flashes that would light up the clouds, and it only takes a slight breeze to rustle the leaves.
Speaking of Apple products 10.6 is purchased and on its way.
