(Godzilla is my preliminary name for the super lens)
Anyway, got a chance to look at the moon tonight:
By measuring, it is 30% more moon goodness than from the 300mm telephoto, as yet to be named. Godzilla's autofocus did a much better job of focusing than I did, and I seem to remember the autofocus on the 300mm lens didn't do a super job. I think my most crisply focused picture with that lens came from manual mode, so pretty much by accident.~~END~~
